Sign at the beginning of our hike, we loved being in the mountains! |
Yesterday we had the chance to go to girl's camp at the
Heber Valley Camp. It was wonderful! Alexa was already there with the Point Meadows 1st ward and we were able to bring Ashley with us. We helped with a service project putting together children's kits and tying fleece blankets. We went on a short hike to the beautiful overlook and played some games (some we were really good at and others we weren't).

The Bishop, Bro. Richens and their wives joined us for dinner, flag ceremony, the song festival and testimony meeting.

Alexa is holding a picture of a beautiful pearl in a beautiful box. Pres. Gurney shared a story about a merchant who found a beautiful pearl and wanted to share the beauty with everyone around him. He had a special box made for it and put it in a museum for people to see. He became sad because as people came to see the pearl they admired the box more than the pearl and were missing the true beauty that was before them. He taught us that what is most important is what is on the inside, how true that is and what a great lesson for all of us!
