The Youth of the Church


Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley said, “I love the youth of the Church. I have said again and again that I think we have never had a better generation than this. How grateful I am for your integrity, for your ambition to train your minds and your hands to do good work, for your love of the word of the Lord, and for your desire to walk in paths of virtue and truth and goodness.

Updated Youth Conference Schedule

We are just two days away from Youth Conference, hooray! Here is an updated schedule of events:

Wednesday, August 10th:
Day at Temple Square
Bring your permission slip if you haven't already turned it in!7:00 am - Meet at Cranberry Farms pool to carpool to Temple Square
8:30 am - Welcome Orientation
9:30 am - Called to Serve Program
11:00 am - Rooftop Gardens and Auditorium Tour
12:00 pm - Organ Recital
1:00 pm - Lunch at Lion House Pantry
2:00 pm - Cooking Class at Joseph Smith Memorial Building
3:00 pm - Family Search
4:00 pm - Desert Book Scavenger Hunt
5:00 pm - Church History Museum Tour
6:30 pm - Dinner at Joseph Smith Memorial Building
7:30 pm - Guest Speaker
8:30 pm - Leave Temple Square and return home



Thursday, August 11th:
8:00 am - Meet at the Cranberry Farms pool, short devotional with the Bishop
Service Project
Drive to Deer Creek
Lunch (will be provided)
Water Activities - jet skiing and beach games
Return home by 8 pm at the latest

What to Wear and Bring? 

Wednesday: Dress and grooming should be modest, tasteful, and appropriate. You do not need to wear Sunday dress. Please follow the For The Strength of Youth Pamphlet.

Thursday: Dress and grooming should be modest, tasteful, and appropriate. Wear closed toed shoes for the service project and bring a pair of gloves. You will be given a chance to change between the service project and leaving for Deer Creek. Please wear a modest swimsuit or shorts and a t-shirt for the water activity. Also remember to bring a towel and a life jacket if you have one. Please follow the For The Strength of Youth Pamphlet.
